Indian Railways launches special trains for NEET 2026 candidates
Indian Railways announced that on 21 June 2026 it will run two pairs of unreserved special trains between Gorakhpur and Lucknow under the North Eastern Railway zone. Each train will have 12 coaches, including ten General Second Class (GSCN) and two SLRD coaches, to ease travel for NEET aspirants. Detailed timetables were released for all departures and arrivals.
Additional special passenger trains are scheduled for 20‑21 June across other zones, including services in the Ratlām division (Indore‑Bhopal‑Ratlām, Dr Ambedkar Nagar‑Bandra) and four extra trains in Chhattisgarh (Korba‑Durg‑Korba and a Memu service). These trains will provide sleeper and general second‑class accommodation, with bookings opened from 19 June. The railways have appealed to students and their families to use the services for a smoother journey to their exam centres.
