Indian Railways reports train derailment and cancellations

A landslide caused by heavy rainfall near Parasala Railway Station in Kerala led to the derailment of the Bilaspur-Tirunelveli Express engine. The incident occurred around 2:19 AM, forcing the train to stop and disrupting rail movement between Neyyattinkara and Tirunelveli. Railway officials are working to repair the tracks and have utilized a second engine to move the train forward. Consequently, six passenger trains on this route have been cancelled.

In a separate development, railway authorities have cancelled two special MEMU trains operating from Agra Cantt between October 22 and October 31, 2026. The affected services include the Agra Cantt-Palwal and Agra Cantt-Sandhi MEMU trains, impacting travel between Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
