Indian Renewable Energy Leaders Premier Energies and ReNew Report Strong FY26 Earnings and Capacity Expansion
Premier Energies announced FY26 profit after tax of ₹15,097 million, a 61 % year‑on‑year increase, with total income rising 20.7 % to ₹80,259 million and EBITDA margin expanding to 32.1 %. The company grew its manufacturing footprint to 11.1 GW of modules and 10.6 GW of cells, and said the board approved a fund‑raising plan of up to ₹5,000 crore for future capex, alongside the acquisition of a 51 % stake in Transcon Industries.
ReNew Energy Global Plc reported FY26 net profit of INR 10,385 million, up from INR 4,591 million a year earlier, and revenue of INR 150,635 million. Its renewable portfolio reached roughly 20 GW, including solar and battery‑energy‑storage assets, while solar‑module capacity stood at 6.4 GW and cell capacity at 2.5 GW, with an additional 4 GW of cell capacity slated for completion by December 2026. The firm commissioned about 247 MW during the year, bringing total commissioned capacity to around 12.8 GW.
