Indian renewable firms unveil hybrid inverters and large‑scale storage solutions

At a recent exhibition in Chennai, POM Power demonstrated a portfolio that includes hybrid inverters ranging from 2 kW to 50 kW, on‑grid inverters up to 350 kW, microinverters, EV chargers and lithium‑based battery energy storage systems (ESS) from 50 kW to 2 MW. Managing Director IB Rao said demand for hybrid inverters is growing among residential customers in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan, though project conversions are slowed by financing issues and battery sourcing challenges.

A week later in New Delhi, Hoymiles staged its StorageNext 2026 event, unveiling utility‑scale battery storage products such as 5 MWh and 6.25 MWh DC containers, a 6.25 MWh AC container and the HPCS series (3500‑E, 1725‑E, 1250‑E). The solutions feature liquid‑cooling, modular architecture and intelligent monitoring to improve grid stability and support renewable integration across India’s power network. Both firms highlighted the need for scalable, reliable storage to accelerate the country’s clean‑energy transition.
