Indian universities announce admissions schedules and entrance exam dates

Delhi University released the postgraduate admission timeline for the 2026‑27 session, outlining an upgrade window (June 30‑July 1), a mid‑entry and correction period (July 2‑4), and a third round of seat allocation slated for July 6, with final acceptance deadlines on July 9‑11.

Doon University postponed its undergraduate and postgraduate entrance examinations to July 7‑8 after receiving a higher than expected volume of applications. Around 5,300 online applications were filed, and roughly 4,400 candidates are expected to sit for the exams across four cities – Dehradun, Delhi, Haldwani and Lucknow – in three daily sessions.

Both universities cited the surge in applicant numbers as the reason for adjusting schedules, reflecting ongoing demand for higher‑education places under India's National Education Policy.
