India's 8th Central Pay Commission schedules Delhi meetings in August

The 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC) has announced two consultation meetings in Delhi on 7 August and 10 August 2026. The meetings are open to employee unions and pensioner associations representing central government staff and union territories, provided they submit a unique memorandum ID by 31 July 2026. Only organisations that are registered in Delhi and have previously filed a memorandum are eligible.

Earlier rounds of the CPC’s consultations were held in Kolkata on 9‑10 July 2026, and notices have also been issued for regional meetings in Puducherry (24 July‑8 September), Chennai (7‑8 September) and other states. The CPC, constituted on 3 November 2025 under the chairmanship of Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, is tasked with reviewing salaries, pensions, allowances and related benefits for millions of central employees and pensioners. The commission is expected to submit its final recommendations by mid‑2027.
