India's Arun Chaturvedi slams Congress over past exam paper leaks

BJP senior leader and Rajasthan Finance Commission chairman Dr. Arun Chaturvedi accused the Congress party of politicising the recent paper‑leak issue. He urged senior Congress figures, including Rahul Gandhi, Ashok Gahlot and Govind Singh Dotasra, to first answer for paper‑leak incidents that occurred during the party’s previous state government, such as the REET exam and sub‑inspector recruitment, which affected around seven million candidates.

Chaturvedi highlighted a new parliamentary bill intended to make the examination system more transparent and to impose strict penalties for paper leaks – up to ten years’ imprisonment and fines of up to ₹10 crore. He praised the central government's commitment to safeguard students’ futures and called for constructive debate in Parliament rather than political posturing.
