India's Assam and West Bengal Governments Conduct Major Administrative and Police Officer Reshuffles

The Assam government has reassigned several senior IAS and ACS officers, moving Pallav Gopal Jha to continue as secretary in multiple departments and assigning Rohan Kumar Jha additional responsibilities for water‑supply and infrastructure projects. Other transfers include Diganta Das to the Agriculture Department and Parijat Bhuyan to the Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Department.

In West Bengal, the Suvendu Adhikari administration transferred 33 IPS officers, appointing Natarajan Ramesh Babu as the new state intelligence chief. Notable moves include moving Supratim Sarkar from the chief of the CID to ADG of Telecommunications and assigning new roles to officers such as K. Jayaraman, Vishal Garg and Praveen Kumar Tripathi. The reshuffle also changed leadership in several police districts and introduced new heads for economic offences and traffic safety.
