India's BrahMos missile logs perfect strike record in Operation Sindoor

Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7 last year, saw Indian forces carry out precision strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan‑occupied Jammu and Kashmir over an 88‑hour confrontation that ended on May 10. According to BrahMos Aerospace CEO Dr. Jaiteerth R. Joshi, the supersonic cruise missile achieved a flawless 10‑out‑of‑10 strike success rate, hitting high‑value enemy airbases at ranges of 450‑500 km and demonstrating the system’s speed, accuracy and low radar signature across Army, Navy and Air Force platforms.

Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan later said Indian forces "dominated the escalation matrix on all four days" of the conflict, citing superior situational awareness that allowed real‑time tracking of strikes on both sides. He warned against prolonged wars, urging clear politico‑military objectives and defined exit strategies. The successful deployment of BrahMos is expected to boost export interest, with a recent $375 million deal with the Philippines and talks with Indonesia and Vietnam, while India advances the next‑generation BrahMos‑NG variant.
