India's Corporate Mitra Scheme Webinar Targets MSMEs in Arunachal Pradesh

The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), operating under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, held a webinar on 24 July to raise awareness of the Corporate Mitra Scheme among youths, students, MSMEs, professionals and enterprises in Arunachal Pradesh. The event was part of an awareness campaign for the Northeast region and was jointly organized with Rajiv Gandhi University and supported by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

The scheme seeks to empower micro, small and medium enterprises in Tier‑2 and Tier‑3 cities by creating a pool of qualified “Corporate Mitras” who can provide affordable compliance, financial, tax and governance assistance. It targets 2,000 participants nationwide, including 200 from the Northeast, with a 50 % fee concession for candidates from the region. IICA has been designated the nodal agency for rollout and coordination with state governments and other stakeholders. Registration for the Corporate Mitra course opened on 15 July and runs through 31 July.
