India's ex-J&K police chief backs army chief on drone training for all troops

Former Jammu & Kashmir Director General of Police S.P. Vaidh endorsed Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi’s warning that modern warfare has shifted to drones, missiles and cutting‑edge technology. Vaidh said every soldier, officer and air‑force personnel should be proficient with drone systems to strengthen the country’s security.

He linked the need for such capability to the ongoing Operation Sindoor, describing it as a clear message to Pakistan that any repeat of hostile actions will be met with decisive response. Vaidh also accused Pakistan’s ISI of running covert modules in India that aim to radicalise individuals and facilitate bomb‑making, while praising Indian intelligence and police for thwarting these plots, including a recently exposed module in Delhi.
