India's food and beverage sector targets US$600 billion opportunity by 2030
India’s food and beverage sector is experiencing significant growth, driven by rising demand for functional nutrition, healthy products, and sustainable packaging. The industry is projected to become a US$600 billion opportunity by 2030, supported by government initiatives like the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme.
To support this expansion, Informa Markets in India will host the 20th edition of Fi India alongside the 8th edition of ProPak India from August 26–28, 2026, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. The event is expected to feature over 600 exhibitors and 1,500 brands, providing a marketplace for food ingredients, processing technologies, and automation.
In parallel, companies like Core De Industries are addressing technical gaps in the ecosystem. Led by Rishi Korde, the firm provides integrated services including formulation, prototyping, and manufacturing scale-up to help startups and established brands transition from laboratory concepts to commercial production in categories such as plant-based alternatives and wellness drinks.
