India's Health Ministers Review State Programs and Boost Anti‑Corruption Measures

Central Health Minister JP Nadda held a virtual meeting with Kerala Health Minister K. Muraleedharan to assess the rollout of key national health schemes, including the TB‑Free India campaign, free medicine and diagnostic services, and components of the National Health Mission. The discussion emphasized strengthening service delivery, improving access to quality medicines and diagnostics, and expanding health infrastructure and human resources across the state.

Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Rajendra Shukla reiterated the state’s zero‑tolerance policy on corruption in health services. He pledged prompt, impartial investigations and strict action against any irregularities. Shukla also addressed staffing needs, noting temporary deputations of 35 paramedical staff in Indore, compliance with National Medical Commission guidelines, ongoing doctor shortages in rural areas, and construction delays at a health centre caused by land‑ownership disputes.
