India's National Testing Agency launches digital training for exam officials

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced "Pariksha Karmayogi: Capacity‑Building Programme for Examination Officials" on the iGOT Karmayogi Bharat platform. The digital course targets centre superintendents and invigilators responsible for offline, pen‑and‑paper examinations, including the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET‑UG). It comprises four modules that cover the entire exam lifecycle – introducing fairness and integrity, preparedness and security measures before the test, day‑of operational procedures, and a quick‑reference guide for post‑exam duties.

The initiative aims to enhance supervision, security, procedural compliance, operational efficiency and accountability at exam centres ahead of the NEET re‑examination slated for June 21, after the original test was cancelled amid paper‑leak allegations and a CBI investigation. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the retest will be conducted in an organised manner.
