India's National Testing Agency opens NEET 2026 re‑exam answer‑key challenge period

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for the NEET UG 2026 re‑examination held on 21 June. Candidates may log in to the official NTA portal to compare their responses and, if necessary, submit objections to specific questions.

Objections must be filed between 25 June and 28 June 2026 (deadline 23:50 IST). Each challenged question incurs a processing fee of ₹200, which is refunded if the objection is accepted by subject‑matter experts. Applicants must upload supporting academic evidence for every challenge; no edits are allowed after submission. The NTA also opened a separate portal for candidates to verify or update bank details, with a final deadline of 30 June for any refunds.

The agency noted that a Central Bureau of Investigation probe is ongoing into alleged irregularities in the NEET process, underscoring the importance of the challenge window for maintaining transparency and fairness.
