India's NEET UG 2026 retest OMR sheets released; challenges due July 15
The National Testing Agency (NTA) uploaded scanned images of the OMR answer sheets and recorded responses for the NEET UG 2026 re‑examination on its portal on 13 July. Candidates can log in with their application number and password to compare the scanned sheet with the system‑recorded responses. Discrepancies may be challenged online until 15 July 2026, 11 a.m., with a processing fee of ₹200 per objection, refundable if the error is confirmed.
The re‑exam, held on 21 June after the original test was cancelled over alleged paper‑leak irregularities, saw more than 22 lakh aspirants across 5,440 centres in India and 14 abroad. On 15 July, the Supreme Court dismissed a public‑interest litigation challenging the NTA’s decision to conduct the retest, declaring the matter infructuous since the new exam had already taken place. The court noted that the petitioners could raise broader reform issues in separate proceedings.
