India's NTA releases NEET UG 2026 OMR sheets for re‑exam candidates
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has uploaded scanned images of the OMR answer sheets and the recorded responses for candidates who sat the NEET UG 2026 re‑examination held on June 21. Candidates can log in to the official NEET portal with their application number and password to view and download their individual OMR sheets. The release allows verification of the answers captured by the optical‑mark‑recognition system against the candidates’ markings.
A challenge window is open until 11:00 AM on 15 July 2026. Applicants who find discrepancies may submit an objection for a processing fee of 200 rupees per question; the fee is refunded if the objection is upheld. The earlier deadline for challenging the provisional answer key has already passed, so no new answer‑key objections will be considered. The OMR release completes this stage of the examination process; the NTA will next review any accepted challenges, publish the final answer key, calculate scores and announce results, after which counselling for medical seats will commence.
The re‑exam involved roughly 22.79 lakh candidates across 551 Indian cities and 14 overseas locations, part of the annual NEET UG exam that attracts about 2.5 million aspirants for admission to MBBS, BDS and related programmes.
