India's NTA Sets July 7 Deadline for NEET 2026 Fee Refund Bank Detail Updates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has warned candidates of the NEET UG 2026 examination that the final date to confirm or update bank account details for fee refunds is 7 July 2026, 11:50 p.m. Candidates must log in to the official portal, verify their account number, IFSC code and other information, and download a confirmation receipt.

Only 8,29,510 of the roughly 22 lakh applicants have completed the bank‑detail verification, leaving about 14.5 lakh candidates who have not yet submitted the required information. Refunds have already begun for those who confirmed their details, but many students on the social platform X are reporting continued delays and unresolved cases despite having updated their information.

The NTA reiterated that no further modifications will be accepted after the deadline and that candidates should ensure the accuracy of their details to avoid missing the refund. The agency began processing refunds on 22 May, following the cancellation of the exam after a paper‑leak incident.
