SECI launches demand‑aggregation scheme and signs 300 MW wind‑solar hybrid PPA

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) issued an Expression of Interest to aggregate renewable‑energy demand from large commercial and industrial consumers, including data centres, airports and ports. The scheme proposes to develop customised solar, wind, hybrid and storage projects, offering flexible procurement models such as open access, captive or joint‑venture arrangements and long‑term contracts of 10‑25 years.

Separately, ACME Solar secured a 25‑year power purchase agreement with SECI for a 300 MW wind‑solar hybrid project connected to the interstate transmission system. The project will supply power at a tariff of INR 3.25 per kWh, meet a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor of 30 % and begin delivery by 30 June 2028. The agreement raises ACME Solar’s signed PPA portfolio to 6,870 MW across its renewable‑energy assets.
