India's Trade Minister Piyush Goyal drives export growth in beauty and agriculture sectors
Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal met a L'Oréal delegation in Hyderabad to discuss strengthening sourcing, manufacturing and exports from India’s beauty and personal‑care market. The talks highlighted L'Oréal’s recent launch of a global Beauty Tech Capacity Centre in Hyderabad and explored ways to expand India’s role in the international cosmetics value chain.
Goyal also chaired meetings on 31 January 2026 with the Indian Chamber of Food & Agriculture and other officials to chart a roadmap for securing Sanitary and Phytosanitary approvals for Indian agricultural and fisheries products. The initiative aims to boost farmers’ incomes, increase exports—especially to African markets—and enhance India’s position in global food security.
