India's UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam Leak Claims Debunked

The Indian government’s Press Information Bureau (PIB) issued a fact‑check after social media posts alleged that the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 question paper had been leaked to the coaching institute Anantam IAS. The posts claimed that 82 out of 100 questions matched material published by the institute, prompting the NSUI to demand an impartial investigation.

PIB clarified that the leak allegations are false, stating that UPSC papers are prepared by subject experts from across the country. Anantam IAS also denied any prior access, explaining that some of its answer‑key pages showed pre‑exam dates due to routine back‑dating of content for organisational purposes. Aspirants were urged to rely only on official notifications and refrain from sharing unverified claims online.
