Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya cancels exam following paper leak

The Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV) in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, has cancelled a B.Sc. Agriculture second-year Entomology examination after the question paper was leaked via WhatsApp two hours before the scheduled start time.

Approximately 1,200 students across 27 agricultural colleges were set to take the exam on August 20. Following reports that the paper had surfaced on social media, the university administration halted the process to maintain academic integrity. The examination is now scheduled to be re-conducted in the first week of September.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has ordered a thorough investigation, stating that the government maintains “zero tolerance for exam irregularities.” In response, a five-member inquiry committee has been formed to conduct a detailed probe. Additionally, an FIR has been lodged at the Telibandha police station, and the Raipur Cyber Cell is assisting in tracing the digital trail of the leaked material.
