Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya seeks probe into alleged exam paper leak

The state-run Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV) in Raipur has requested a police investigation following the alleged leak of a BSc Agriculture question paper for the Fundamentals of Genetics exam. The exam, held on August 19 across 28 agricultural colleges, was reportedly compromised after a national Hindi daily published a report on the matter. A journalist also provided a PDF containing the questions and answers to the university via WhatsApp.

A five-member university committee conducted a preliminary inquiry, which found prima facie evidence of tampering in the envelopes used to transport the question papers. This pattern of tampering reportedly matches previous leak cases investigated by authorities.

The university has submitted the newspaper report, the leaked PDF, the original question paper, and the inquiry committee’s findings to the Telibandha police. This incident follows a series of recent leaks at the institution, including an August 22 incident that led to the arrest of a professor and five students in the Durg district.
