Inditex CEO signals selective growth push in United States

Inditex chief executive Oscar García Maceiras said the United States presents "good opportunities for growth" and that the group will continue a selective, omnichannel expansion there. He noted that Inditex entered the U.S. market in 1989, making it the third country after Spain and Portugal, and that the company now operates in 26 states, covering more than half of the country.

The latest milestone was the opening of a Zara store in Charlotte, North Carolina, which exemplifies the strategy of targeting urban sites with proven demand. García Maceiras emphasised that growth will be measured, integrating physical stores with online channels, while maintaining price stability and monitoring geopolitical risks.
