Inditex raises store workers' wages by up to 12.5% through 2028

Spain's Inditex Group, the owner of Zara, Pull&Bear, Bershka and other brands, signed a new collective agreement with the CCOO and UGT unions covering roughly 30,000 store employees. The pact provides a cumulative 12.5% salary increase by 2028, with a retroactive effect from 1 January 2026 and an annual 4% rise in 2026‑2028. Minimum wages will rise by at least €624 gross, translating into an average 20‑25% boost for about 80% of staff. Weekend hourly pay will rise to €11.25 and holiday pay to €13.50. Additional benefits include a higher birth allowance (over €500), increased school‑supply aid, family‑care support, remote‑work compensation for large stores, and a 30% premium for hours worked during sales events such as Black Friday. The agreement also sets a gradual reduction of annual working hours. The terms apply to Inditex employees in Spain; no comparable increases were announced for workers in Romania.
