Inditex set to report Q1 earnings with analysts forecasting record sales

Inditex will present its first‑quarter 2024 results on 3 June, allowing investors to gauge the impact of the ongoing Strait of Hormuz tensions on the fashion group. Analysts expect the company to post a new sales record of roughly €8.7 billion, up about 5.6‑6.4 % year‑on‑year, and net profit of around €1.4 billion, representing a 7‑7.5 % increase. Early‑quarter sales were reported up 9 % on a constant‑currency basis, though some firms warn of a possible slowdown in March‑April.

The share price has recovered from earlier declines linked to the Middle‑East conflict, closing the week down 0.8 % but gaining ground overall. Deutsche Bank, Barclays and other houses maintain a buy recommendation, citing Inditex’s defensive positioning, stable margins and continued logistics investment. The results will also influence the race for the IBEX lead between Inditex and Banco Santander.
