Adyen appoints Klarna CFO Niclas Neglén as new finance chief
Dutch digital payments processor Adyen has announced the appointment of Niclas Neglén as its new Chief Financial Officer and a member of its statutory management board. Neglén, who currently serves as the CFO of Klarna, is scheduled to officially assume the role on February 1, 2027, pending regulatory and shareholder approval.
Adyen CEO Pieter van der Does stated that Neglén’s experience aligns with the company’s current growth phase and that his background in high-growth fintech makes him a strong fit for the firm’s strategy and culture. Before his tenure at Klarna, Neglén held senior leadership positions at HSBC Private Bank and General Electric.
Hwa Tsao, who has been serving as Adyen’s interim CFO following the departure of Ethan Tandowsky in August, will continue in the interim role until Neglén’s arrival. Following the transition, Tsao will move into the role of Senior Vice President of Group Finance.
