Indonesia Advances AI‑Driven Education and Post‑Quantum Cybersecurity Measures

Rektor Institut Media Digital Emtek (IMDE), Totok Amin Soefijanto, urged Indonesian universities to harness artificial intelligence as a catalyst for teaching and research during the 5th anniversary of the Indonesia Cyber Education Institute (ICE Institute). Speaking at a high‑level strategic talk show in Bogor, he highlighted AI’s potential to reshape learning in a VUCA world and announced new partnerships, pilot projects and awards aimed at strengthening the nation’s digital education ecosystem.

Separately, Telkom organised a workshop on post‑quantum cryptography (PQC) that brought together officials from the Ministry of Communication and Digital, the National Cyber and Crypto Agency, academia, and industry players such as IBM and the Financial Services Authority. Participants discussed the future threat of quantum computers to current cryptographic standards and outlined steps for Indonesia to transition to PQC, reinforcing the security of digital identities, certificates, and communications.

Both events signal a coordinated push by the Indonesian government, universities and technology firms to prepare the country’s education and cyber‑infrastructure for emerging AI and quantum technologies.
