Indonesia advances EV ecosystem with V2L technology and digital charging tools
Developments in Indonesia's electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem are advancing through both vehicle technology and digital infrastructure. PT Sokonindo Automobile, the agent for DFSK in Indonesia, demonstrated the vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities of the DFSK E5 Plus during a media journey in Banyuwangi. The V2L feature allows the vehicle's battery to act as a portable power source, providing an output of up to 3.3 kilowatts, which is sufficient to power household appliances such as rice cookers and small electric stoves.
Simultaneously, PT PLN (Persero) is enhancing the user experience for EV owners via the PLN Mobile application. The company has introduced the ‘AntreEV’ feature, designed to help customers manage charging at Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU). This digital service allows users to check queue conditions at various stations, take a queue number, and monitor estimated waiting times, providing greater certainty for drivers as the number of electric vehicles in the country grows.
