Indonesia advances streamlining of state-owned enterprises and Telkom group

The Indonesian government has created a multi‑agency monitoring team that includes the Attorney General’s Office, the Ministry of Law, the Financial and Development Audit Agency (BPKP) and the Audit Board (BPK) to oversee the streamlining of state‑owned enterprises (BUMN). The initiative aims to make BUMN healthier, stronger and more competitive while ensuring compliance with legal procedures.

At the same time, telecom giant Telkom Indonesia has accelerated its own transformation by completing the streamlining of ten subsidiaries. The process involved the divestiture of two entities, the vertical merger of two others and the liquidation of six, reshaping the group into a leaner holding‑operating company structure focused on core digital and telecommunications businesses. Both moves are intended to improve efficiency, attract investment and bolster Indonesia’s economic growth.
