Indonesia's Ojek‑Online (Ojol) Presidential Regulation Nears Completion
Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, led a coordination meeting with the secretariat, labour, transport and UMKM ministries to finalize the Presidential Regulation on ojek‑online services. The meeting, held on 23 July 2026, reviewed draft provisions that will strengthen driver protection, clarify partnership arrangements between platforms and drivers, and ensure the sustainability of the digital transport ecosystem.
DPR members said the regulation will lower the platform commission from 20 % to 8 % and is expected to be signed within the next week, providing legal certainty for drivers and operators. Government officials, including Secretary‑State Minister Prasetyo Hadi, stressed that the rule will also address platform‑fee structures to protect the broader ecosystem.
"Hari ini kami kembali mengadakan rapat koordinasi untuk penyempurnaan Perpres Ojol," Dasco said, adding that a final ministerial session is planned before the bill is completed.
