Trade Expo Indonesia 2026 records US$ 22.94 billion in potential transactions
Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2026 concluded with potential transactions reaching US$ 22.94 billion, significantly exceeding the initial target of US$ 17.5 billion. The event featured various specialized exhibitions, including the Pangan Nusa Expo, which recorded potential transactions of Rp 5.9 trillion, a 40-fold increase from the previous year.
MSMEs at the expo recorded potential transactions totaling US$ 510.79 million. Major transaction contributors included India, the Netherlands, Bangladesh, the UAE, and Japan. Additionally, the Bonded Zone Pavilion reported potential investments of approximately Rp 5 trillion from 16 companies.
On a national level, Indonesia's investment realization from January to September 2026 reached Rp 1,539.2 trillion, representing 75.4 percent of the annual target. This investment has absorbed approximately 2.19 million workers. Foreign investment accounted for 50.5 percent of the total, with Singapore being the largest contributor at US$ 14 billion. In the agricultural sector, officials noted that Indonesia has achieved self-sufficiency in rice and corn.
