Overview

The 41st Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2026 concluded with potential transactions reaching USD 22.94 billion, significantly exceeding the initial USD 17.5 billion target. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) contributed USD 510.79 million to the total volume. Major transaction contributors included India, the Netherlands, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates, and Japan.

Specialized exhibitions within the expo showed significant growth. The Pangan Nusa Expo recorded potential transactions of Rp 5.9 trillion, representing a 40-fold increase compared to the previous year. Additionally, the Bonded Zone Pavilion reported potential investments of approximately Rp 5 trillion from 16 companies interested in export-oriented industrial facilities.

Further sector-specific successes were noted through the S’RASA (Rasa Rempah Indonesia) program, which recorded approximately USD 31.14 million in transactions. This included USD 30.2 million from 14 Memorandums of Understanding signed between Indonesian spice producers and importers from the Netherlands, Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan.

Trade cooperation with Cameroon and Central African nations also saw a significant surge, with potential business agreements reaching USD 60 million, a threefold increase from the previous year. This growth involved 81 delegates and 19 business agreements. Notably, PT Asindotech secured major contracts, including a USD 15 million project for tapioca and biogas processing plants in Cameroon, a USD 10 million project in the Central African Republic, and a USD 8 million sand mining project in Cameroon.

On a broader national scale, Indonesia reported that investment realization from January to September 2026 reached Rp 1,539.2 trillion, achieving 75.4 percent of the annual target and absorbing approximately 2.19 million workers. Foreign investment accounted for 50.5 percent of this total, with Singapore serving as the largest contributor at USD 14 billion.
