Indonesia and Switzerland mark 75 years of diplomatic relations

The Indonesian Embassy in Bern (KBRI Bern) held a diplomatic reception to commemorate the 81st anniversary of Indonesia's independence and mark 75 years of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Switzerland.

Ambassador Ngurah Swajaya emphasized Indonesia's commitment to peace, dialogue, and multilateralism, noting that the partnership between the two nations continues to grow. This includes recent agreements on downstreaming cooperation between the Indonesian Minister of Investment and the Swiss Minister of Economic Affairs.

Swiss State Secretary for Education, Research and Innovation, Martina Hirayama, expressed Switzerland's readiness to strengthen cooperation in education, research, and innovation by leveraging Indonesia's human resource potential. The event also featured the launch of commemorative stamps and various Indonesian cultural performances.
