Indonesia announces 2027 national holidays and collective leave

The Indonesian government has officially released the schedule for national holidays and collective leave for the year 2027. According to a Joint Ministerial Decree, there will be 18 national holidays and 8 days of collective leave throughout the year.

A notable feature of the 2027 calendar is the occurrence of two Isra Mikraj observances. Due to the lunar Hijri calendar being shorter than the Gregorian calendar, the 27th of Rajab falls on both January 5 and December 26, 2027.

The holiday schedule includes major observances such as New Year's Day, Chinese New Year, Nyepi, Idul Fitri, Good Friday, Easter, Labor Day, Idul Adha, Vesak, Pancasila Day, Islamic New Year, Prophet Muhammad's Birthday, Independence Day, and Christmas.
