Indonesia announces 2027 national holidays and collective leave

The Indonesian government has officially released the schedule for national holidays and collective leave for the year 2027 through a Joint Ministerial Decree. The calendar includes 18 national holidays and 8 days of collective leave.

March 2027 is expected to feature significant long holiday periods. Idul Fitri 1448 Hijriah is scheduled for March 10–11, supplemented by three collective leave days on March 9, 12, and 15. Additionally, Nyepi (Saka New Year) will be observed as a national holiday on March 8, creating a cluster of holidays during that month.

Other notable holidays for 2027 include New Year's Day on January 1, Chinese New Year on February 6, and Independence Day on August 17. The schedule is intended to assist the public, government and private sector employees, and the tourism industry in planning work schedules and travel arrangements.
