This includes a 100% VAT subsidy for domestic economy class flights, expected to reduce ticket prices by 11% to 13%. InJourney Airports has also reduced airport service and landing fees by 50% across 36 airports. PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) announced a 100 percent discount on port service fees for ferry users. Additionally, a free homecoming program (Mudik Gratis) featuring 70 buses with a capacity for 2,882 passengers will target ten cities in Java, with registration opening in December 2026.

To ensure safety, the Ministry of Transportation and the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas) are coordinating cross-sectoral efforts. Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi has directed operators to prepare for passenger surges and emergency procedures, including intensive ramp checks for vehicle roadworthiness. Korlantas Head Aries Syahbudin highlighted the Lilin Operation, which focuses on preemptive and preventive measures to mitigate accidents, noting that human factors like driver fatigue contribute to approximately 70% of accidents.
