Indonesia arrests former nutrition chief Dadan Hindayana amid MBG corruption probe

The Indonesian Attorney General’s Office detained former head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, along with two former deputy heads, Sony Sanjaya and Lodewyk Pusung, naming them as suspects in a graft case linked to the free school‑meal program (MBG).

Gloria Harimas Sihombing, chair of the Indonesia Food Security Review foundation, was later named the sixth suspect after investigators said she sold Service Points for Nutrition Provision (SPPG) to partners at 100 million rupiah per kitchen site and regularly routed payments of more than 20 million rupiah to Dadan since 2025.

DPR Vice‑Chair Ahmad Sahroni warned investigators to focus on Sony Sonjaya’s allegations of 41 additional names, cautioning that the claims might be unfounded and could distract from the core corruption investigation.
