Indonesia automotive sector shifts with Honda's hybrid push and Yamaha's CLASSY Modifest

Honda Indonesia is undergoing a major transition in its product lineup. Production data for January–May 2026 show a sharp rise in automatic CVT models and hybrid SUVs, such as the HR‑V RS e:HEV, while manual variants like the Brio Satya E manual saw little activity. Export of fully built‑up (CBU) vehicles also increased, highlighting Indonesia’s role as a regional production hub.

In parallel, Yamaha held its CLASSY Modifest in Bandung on 13–14 June 2026, showcasing custom‑tuned Fazzio Hybrid and Grand Filano Hybrid scooters. The event, partnered with the BBQ Ride festival, emphasized urban lifestyle, fashion and music, and awarded top builds in categories such as Japanese Retro Style and Mooneyes Style.
