Indonesia batik MSMEs receive support through inclusive empowerment and digital expansion

To mark National Batik Day, PT Pertamina (Persero) is supporting 428 batik MSMEs through capacity building, product development, and market access. These initiatives emphasize inclusive employment, specifically providing opportunities for people with disabilities in regions such as Yogyakarta and Riau.

In the commercial sector, the brand Ragam Bentala is working with Shopee to modernize batik, transforming traditional textiles into casual, contemporary fashion to reach younger generations and ensure the economic sustainability of local artisans.
