Indonesia begins second wave of military training for 2,065 civil servants

A total of 2,065 civil servants (ASN) from various ministries and agencies in Jakarta have commenced the second wave of training to become part of the national reserve component (Komcad). The group consists of 1,317 men and 748 women.

The training program will last for 1.5 months and will be conducted across five different military training sites, including Pusdikkes, Skadik 301, Pusbahasa TNI AU, Kodam Jaya, and Pasmar 1 Cilandak.

Lieutenant General Gabriel Lemam, Head of the National Reserve Agency, stated that the reserve component is intended to serve as a force multiplier rather than a replacement for the primary military forces. He emphasized that this initiative aligns with the Indonesian Constitution, which mandates that every citizen has the right and duty to participate in national defense efforts. The training aims to instill military basic skills, discipline, leadership, and loyalty in the participants before they return to their respective government institutions.
