IHSG rises over 1% as major Indonesian banking stocks rebound

The Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG) showed dynamic movement during Friday trading, eventually rising by over 1% to reach the 6,092 level. After opening at 6,039, the index briefly dipped below the 6,000 psychological threshold before recovering to its daily peak.

Major banking stocks, including PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk, and PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk, all recorded gains during the first session. Analysts noted that while these large-cap banks had faced pressure throughout the week due to foreign investor selling and global market uncertainty, they showed signs of a technical rebound.

Market sentiment remains influenced by domestic consumption trends, US labor market resilience, and global energy price risks. Transaction values for the day reached approximately Rp6.85 trillion.
