Indonesia's Customs Authority Advances Trade Facilitation and Export Policies

Indonesia's customs agency, Bea Cukai, announced several initiatives to strengthen the country's trade framework. PT Kona Bay Indonesia received an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certificate from the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, recognizing the company's compliance, supply‑chain security, and governance standards in international trade. Director Jonny Susanto highlighted the certification as a milestone for the aquaculture firm and noted it will ease customs procedures.

Bea Cukai also increased export assistance for small and medium enterprises. In Cilacap, officials helped KYE Ecoprint and Rajasamas Batik, while in Bogor the Customs Visit Customer program provided guidance to CV Bahari Tirta Utama on documentation, customs regulations, and market opportunities for products such as animal feed, organic fertilizer, and wood pellets.

Additionally, the agency pledged support for the government's Devises from Export of Natural Resources (DHE SDA) policy under Government Regulations No. 21/2026 and No. 24/2026. Sub‑Directorate of Public Relations Budi Prasetiyo explained that customs will enforce the policy through its service and supervision functions, aiming to retain foreign exchange, enhance value‑added processing, and improve governance of strategic natural‑resource exports.
