Indonesia Defense Ministry Reduces Training Quota for Red‑White Cooperative Managers, Assigns Two‑Year Service
The Ministry of Defense announced that the quota for the second wave of the Sarjana Penggerak Pembangunan Indonesia (SPPI) training program for prospective managers of Koperasi Desa Merah Putih and Koperasi Nelayan Merah Putih will be slightly reduced compared with the first wave. The adjustment was detailed by Secretary General Lt Gen Tri Budi Utomo at Lanud Halim Perdanakusuma, Jakarta, where the first‑wave training lasted one and a half months, combining national‑defense education and cooperative management instruction.
Graduates of the program will be assigned to work for a period of two years in the cooperatives, with placements to be arranged by the State‑Owned Enterprise Agency and PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara within the next few weeks. The ministry said the assignments will be deployed to operational cooperatives shortly after the training concludes.
