Indonesia drives UMKM growth with digital training and e‑commerce incentives
On 21 July 2026, the Jepara branch of Indonesia’s PKK organized a digital‑marketing training for 70 cadres from villages and districts. The program, presented by Ari Eriza on behalf of TP PKK leader Laila Saidah Witiarso, aimed to help UMKM and family‑income initiatives use online platforms to promote local products. Eriza said, “Pelatihan ini kami selenggarakan agar kader PKK memiliki keterampilan memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk mendukung promosi produk UMKM dan UP2K.” Trainers from RussTuff Creativelabs described the use of social media, marketplaces, SEO and AI tools to expand reach and improve sales.
In Jember the same day, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises announced new incentives for UMKM that sell local products on e‑commerce platforms. Deputy Head Riza Damanik quoted President Prabowo Subianto: “Presiden sudah memberikan arahan untuk memastikan seluruh UMKM kita mendapatkan manfaat dalam kerangka akses pasar maupun pembiayaan.” Eligible businesses will receive a 50 % discount on e‑commerce service fees, and the interest ceiling on micro‑loans provided through PNPM Mekaar will be lowered to 8 % from the previous 20 %, especially for female entrepreneurs. The policy was welcomed by Jember Regent Muhammad Fawait.
