Indonesia Education Ministry Calls 60,896 Teachers to Join 2026 PPG Phase 2

The Directorat of Professional Teacher Education (PPG) of Indonesia's Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikdasmen) has officially summoned 60,896 teachers from across the archipelago, including overseas Indonesian schools, to participate in the 2026 PPG program for specific teachers, Phase 2. The call aims to accelerate teacher certification and is directed at candidates who have met all administrative requirements, with status checkable via the SIMPKB (Sustainable Professional Development Management) app.

The program schedule requires participants to confirm their availability between 22‑28 June 2026, submit a self‑report from 1‑4 July, attend an orientation on 8 July, and complete self‑study on the Ruang GTK platform from 8 July to 12 August. Afterward, they will sit for the competency exam (UKPPPG). Successful candidates will receive a teaching certificate, which serves as a prerequisite for professional allowances under existing regulations. The ministry also urged regional education authorities and other stakeholders to support participants throughout the process.
