Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has set its 2027 budget at Rp27.37 trillion, with 82% of the funds earmarked for strategic programs and energy infrastructure development. Key infrastructure projects include the construction of household gas networks, rural electricity, and various gas transmission pipelines.

To bolster energy security, the government is pushing for large-scale exploration of new oil and gas blocks and the optimization of existing wells through technology. Additionally, Indonesia is advancing its B50 biofuel program, which aims to replace 310,000 barrels per day of imported diesel and potentially save nearly US$10 billion annually.

Addressing fuel distribution issues, Minister Bahlil Lahadalia noted that modified fuel tanks with capacities up to 1 ton have contributed to queues in Makassar. The government is also formulating new regulations to prevent the misuse of subsidized fuel by high-income vehicle owners. Meanwhile, in the mining sector, the ministry is working to resolve the RKAB revision for PT Vale Indonesia Tbk.
