Indonesia expands digital economy support and cyber‑security talent programs
Indonesia is promoting digitalisation for micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM). University students created a business‑profile website for UD IKBAL VIP, a songkok producer in Gresik, adding online product catalogues, contact information and training for the owner to maintain the site, aiming to build trust and reach new customers.
In parallel, the Ministry of Communication and Digital, with Deputy Minister Nezar Patria and Minister Meutya Hafid, is rolling out nationwide cyber‑security talent development programmes that include training on security and artificial intelligence. The goal is to strengthen media resilience against hacking, disinformation and data breaches, forming part of a broader strategy to protect data and ensure digital stability.
