Indonesia expands mobile SIM renewal service to Jakarta, Bandung, Jogja

Indonesia’s police traffic units are operating a mobile driver’s license renewal program (SIM Keliling) in several cities during July 23‑24 2026. The service, run by local Polresta offices, allows holders of SIM A and C licences to extend their validity without visiting a Satpas office. Participants must bring an original KTP, the current SIM, a health certificate and a psychology test result; the renewal fee is Rp 80,000 for SIM A and Rp 75,000 for SIM C.

The rollout includes locations such as Siraman (Wonosari) in Gunungkidul, the Mal Pelayanan Publik in Jogja, The Kings Shopping Centre and Pasar Modern Batununggal in Bandung, Mall Grand Cakung, LTC Glodok, Kampus Trilogi Kalibata and Mall Artha Gading in Jakarta, Lotte Grosir Sholeh Iskandar in Bogor and Mitra 10 Jatimakmur in Bekasi. Quotas are limited and queues tend to build early, prompting officials to advise motorists to arrive promptly.

The mobile service aims to increase accessibility of licence renewal, reduce travel time for drivers and streamline administrative procedures across the country.
