Indonesia expands MSME access to capital and IPO pathways
Indonesia is implementing various initiatives to improve capital access for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The Ministry of MSMEs, in collaboration with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), has launched the RISE TO IPO 2026 program. This initiative aims to prepare medium-sized enterprises for Initial Public Offerings by providing guidance on legal aspects, finance, and corporate governance. The program has already reached 153 companies across Surabaya, Makassar, and Bandung.
In Berau, the local Cooperatives, Industry and Trade Office (Diskoperindag) is addressing capital constraints by planning a business matching forum. This event intends to bridge the gap between MSME owners and banking institutions to facilitate easier access to credit and resolve misunderstandings regarding collateral requirements and credit terms.
