Indonesia expands poultry and coffee exports to China, Middle East, and Morocco

Indonesia is actively seeking new overseas markets for its agricultural surpluses. Deputy Agriculture Minister Sudaryono said the country will pursue poultry exports to China and the Middle East to balance domestic oversupply and support local farmers, noting that farm‑gate broiler prices have risen 4.11% in recent weeks.

The Commodity Futures Trading Authority (Bappebti) reported that the government’s Warehouse Receipt System (SRG) enabled coffee shipments worth roughly Rp4.08 billion (US$227,000) to China and Morocco, including a 19.2‑ton container of Robusta to Morocco and another of Arabica to China. Officials highlighted that the SRG improves commodity competitiveness and opens wider international market access for Indonesian producers.
