Indonesia Ferry Operator ASDP Enhances Services and Safety for School Holiday Travel
PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) is preparing for the school‑holiday travel period from 20 June to 5 July 2026, expecting a surge in passenger and vehicle movement, especially on the Merak–Bakauheni route. The company is optimizing its fleet, ports and personnel, improving digital ticketing via the Ferizy platform, and adding comfort facilities such as air‑conditioned waiting rooms, charging stations, massage chairs, prayer rooms and food‑court stalls.
ASDP will offer a 100 % discount (averaging 21.9 % of the regular fare) on ticket tariffs for pedestrians, Category II and Category IVA vehicles on seven ferry routes, including both regular and express services on Merak–Bakauheni. CEO Heru Widodo emphasized that safety remains the top priority, and the operator supported a seaworthiness inspection of the vessel KMP Legundi at Merak Port from 10–12 June 2026.
Corporate Secretary Windy Andale noted that the discounted tickets have been available since 6 June 2026, and the company is coordinating with the Ministry of Transportation to ensure smooth operations throughout the holiday period.
